Save the Apuans
It will be inaugurated on May 4 at 18:00 and will be open until May 22 the exhibition “Save the Apuane”, dedicated to the figure of Giuseppe Nardini, president of the Regional Park of the Apuan Alps, who died prematurely a few weeks ago.
On display are about 100 photographs of the Apuan Alps that illustrate the beauty and the great issues of territory exploited by man for centuries to extract marble, a unique and fragile area, the theater has always been a difficult and precarious balance between environmental needs and the world of work.
With this exhibition the School for Peace wants to deliver on the commitments taken with the 4 th Forum of Solidarity in the 2010 World Lucchese dedicated to environmental justice and the rights of peoples, we also required a commitment to local environmental problems.
The Exhibition “Save the Apuan” is organized by the School for Peace in the Province of Lucca, in collaboration with the Regional Park of the Apuan Alps and the CAI of Barga, Castelnuovo Garfagnana, Forte dei Marmi, Lucca, Pietrasanta and Viareggio, with pictures Elijah Pegollo Cultural Center “the living stone” of Massa.
